As Retail Leaders we are responsible to Manage and Coach our stores to the best of our abilities and sometimes our decisions may not be popular.
π So the question that needs to be asked is:
β Why do we feel the need to be βlikedβ as a Leader, Coach or Manager.
π Is it because we believe that if you hurt an Employees feelings or ego they will just get up and go?
Well, you know whatβ¦.
…thatβs life, and no need to feel sorry for hurting someones outershell as long as you did it with purpose, and in a meaningful and respectful way with the intention to bring out the best of your Team and itβs Individuals.
Reminder,
π We are in place as Leaders to ensure the Retail machine is well oiled and that all the components are running like clockwork.
If they arenβt, then there is a problem, and the problem may be with you not giving consistent and structured feedback.
