So…this is my perception as to how I sound when I speak to others; and believe this goes
the same way I beleive others feel when I talk to them on occassion.
Why does this happen?
Why does it continue to happen?
It all relates to being Bi Polar and is called Pressured Speech.
👉Pressured speech is a tendency to speak rapidly & frenzied.. Pressured speech is motivated by an urgency that may not be apparent to the listener. The speech produced is difficult to interrupt. Such speech may be too fast, erratic, slurred, or too tangential for the listener to understand.👈 -Wikipedia
So why am I just bringing up a random subject like this?
Well in all honesty, it is getting worse for me but I have a fantastic team that rolls with it and is very supportive.
I beleive that there are others of you out there who are in the same boat as I am but don’t know where to turn to or even know that there was a classification for it.
I have been lucky that it has not entirely hurt my #Retail career & could not be happier that I finally have been diagnosed and accepted my #mentalhealth opportunities and learned to just roll with them (assisted with medication 😎).
Anyone else in the same boat?
Let’s open up the conversation.
