Lessons in Retail | Learning to say no.
The art of Leadership is saying no, not yes. It is very easy to say yes.
As a Leader, Coach, Manager, it is your job to protect the Company and it’s Shareholders from any external or internal harm. Therefore if something is not going right or you believe that a new initiative is a little wonky please do not be afraid to voice your concern.
Saying or nodding yes to a plan makes you an accomplice and takes away any of your credibility to the future rights to say “I told you so”.
There is nothing wrong with disagreeing, but please come to the table with your reasons why and don’t expect to win every battle.
